The Customer Owned Banking Association will host a free community event in Adelaide’s Hindmarsh Square next week to help push for a review of Australia’s banking system.

“We think the banking system has some problems that inhibit competition,” Balance Banking spokesman Mark Degotardi said.

“There’s an opportunity to implement sensible reforms that benefit consumers.

“We must not waste this opportunity. We encourage people in Adelaide to come along and support us.”

Balance Banking tours in NSW, Victoria, Queensland and the A-C-T have received strong support including 3500 petition signatures.

Details of the Balance Banking event in Adelaide are:

Thursday 8th August – Hindmarsh Square, 7am to 9:30am, free BBQ breakfast.

Free showbags will be distributed at the event, the Balance Banking bus will be on location and people will have the opportunity to sign a petition and learn more about the campaign.
